The William Barnes Society exists to enable its members to share fellowship and pleasure in the life and work of William Barnes
It's membership includes scholars and laymen, those chiefly interested in his poetry and others who are drawn by his connection with Dorset history and dialect.
The William Barnes Society organises readings and lectures slide shows and walks in and around William Barnes country.

Welcome to all members to these the new William Barnes Society web pages.
The original web pages are located on the Thomas Hardy site at www.thomashardy.co.uk/william_barnes.htm and will be removed from there at a later date.

Please e-mail suggestions for this web site to me Dave Sands.
